Musculoskeletal imaging performs examination with attention to the skeleton, ligaments, muscles, and joints.  X-Ray computer tomography and magnetic renaissance imaging are all applicable.  Most X-Ray examinations require no preparation.  MRI has been a tremendous advance in musculoskeletal imaging.  MRI can demonstrate soft tissues such as muscles, cartilage, bone marrow, nerves, and vascular structures.  The MRI uses radio waves and a strong magnetic field instead of X-rays to provide clear detailed pictures of internal organs and tissues.  The patient lies on a bed and goes into a magnet which then sends radio waves into a computer.  The computer processes the information and then produces an image.  The test is painless and we cater to conditions of claustrophobia.  Under Musculoskeletal imaging there can be CT’s of every joint and MRI’s of the entire skeletal system.
